What is the turf made of?
Synthetic putting greens and lawns are made of either nylon or polypropylene fibers. We have purchasing agreements with the best turf manufactures and offer several variations of each type of turf to meet and exceed your putting, chipping, shot hitting and visual requirements.
What is the warranty?
Sierra Synthetic Putting Greens & Grass is focused on customer satisfaction. We want you to be proud of your installation for many years into the future. We use the highest quality turf, accessories, and construction processes to ensure a spectacular, long-lasting result. This allows us to stand behind both our products and our workmanship for a fullĀ 10 years.
How much maintenance is required?
Nylon greens require virtually no maintenance. An occasional weed may try to grow in the turf, but since the roots do not go through the backing the weeds are simple to remove. Polypropylene turfs require approximately 1 hour of maintenance every other month of rolling and/or brooming to keep their speed consistant.
What is the speed of the greens?
We can adjust the green speed from 8 to 11 on the Stimp meter depending on how much sand we add to the turf.
What goes underneath the turf?
We primarily use a compacted rock base. This allows use to create a wide variety of undulations. We can also use concrete if the situation warrants.
